As the old saying goes “Zeal without knowledge is fire without light”.

is an attempt to collate information on a managed platform which can be used as a knowledge base to those who have zeal to learn and think out of the box.

As they say information is not knowledge, but the only source of knowledge is experience. Hence I want to make a sincere attempt to share my learning and experience on Software Automation and HP Quick test Professional.

What is QTP (HP Quick test Professional)?

QTP is an automation tool used for regression and functional testing for software applications, It was initially developed by Mercury Interactive in 2002. And, acquired by HP (Hewlett-Packard) in 2007.

What is Coded UI?

For Past many years the QA industry has been dominated by HP, IBM and other software vendors that offered up their solutions for UI automated testing.

Now Microsoft has joined in the race and wants a piece of the valuable candy, a piece of the QA industry as well. With the introduction of CodedUI as an integrated component of Visual Studio Premium and Ultimate, Microsoft now has the ability to offer a fresh alternative to HP’s QuickTest Professional, IBM Rational Functional Tester and other lovely tools.

About Bharat

Bharat works as an Associate Architect (QA). Currently catering a role of solution architect and a scrum master. He has been associated with the software industry for more than 9 years. He has a vast experience in automation testing and worked on various projects using QTP, Coded UI, VBScript, HTA, VB6 and C#.

He is also involved in imparted customized training sessions as per the specific requirements.
